Founded in 1971, the Berkeley Creative
Living Center (CLC) is a socialization program for adults who have
significant mental health problems. Operating two days a week in facilities
generously contributed by First Congregational Church of Berkeley, CLC
provides socialization, rehabilitation and counseling services to clients. Groups include: gardening, art
studio/art therapy, creative writing, support/discussion, men's/women's
groups, living skills, movement, relaxation and pre-vocational training. The
program serves approximately 175 individuals each year. The CLC's art program, funded in part by the

exhibit, From Isolation to Connection, features 25 artists and 100
works from CLC – our largest show ever. To
