MFT Trainee, MFT Intern, PCC Trainee/Intern, MSW/ASW

 
Position Summary:
Under the general directions of the Clinical Supervisor, the intern is responsible for providing support to members of the Peralta Program through Casa Ubuntu.  May be placed at a site within Northern Alameda County.
 
  1. Perform case management and stage-based treatment services including integrated assessment, psychoeducation, skills building, relapse prevention, crisis intervention, social skills training and linkages to community support services as needed. 
 
  1. Clinical responsibilities include of formulating individual assessment & treatment plans for client caseload and providing mental health and case management services; participating in individual supervision and group supervision.  Planning and facilitating treatment groups as needed.
  2. Utilize Solution Focused Brief therapy
  3. Conducts intake interviews as assigned that include educational and community liaison functions; clinical assessments; and written documentation.
  4. Documentation responsibilities include writing weekly progress notes.  It is a requirement of the position that client charts be maintained in a timely way according to regulatory standards.
  5. Other duties assigned by Clinical Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • MFT Trainee, MFT Intern, PCC Trainee/Intern, ASW, or MSW
  • Spanish speaking/bilingual persons and people with lived experience encouraged to apply.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to work both independently and as a member of the team. 
  • The ability to prioritize effectively on competing demands on time.
  • Must be able to maintain flexible work schedule in accordance with client and program needs.
  • Solid written skills to meet required standards of documentation.
  • Must be able to meet Immigration Reform Act of 1986 requirements.
  • Must be able to pass physical examination.
  • Required license or certification: MFT Intern, PCC Intern, ASW Registration with CA BBS
 
Job Type: 
  • Part-time 15.5 hours per week
 
Education: 
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in counseling/clinical psychology or social or holds a Master’s degree in counseling/clinical psychology or social work.
  • Clinical supervision will be provided and hours can be counted towards licensure.
