Community Assessment and Transport Team (CATT)
The Community Assessment and Transport Team (CATT) Supports communities throughout Alameda County by connecting community members efficiently and effectively to supportive services. This program is run in partnership with Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services, Alameda County Emergency Medical Services and Falck Ambulance. CATT uses a unique crisis transport model that includes a Behavioral Health Clinician and Emergency Medical Technician responding to police requests in a low-profile vehicle. This collaborative approach is designed to decrease unnecessary hospitalizations and police presence on scene. Teams are available 24/7. CATT launched in June 2020.
In partnership with Albany Police Department, Bonita House, Inc. launched a new mental health response unit to address the needs of the city. Teams are comprised of a Behavioral Health Clinician and Peer Support Specialist responding to Albany PD dispatched mental health crisis calls. The unit responds to 911 and non-emergency calls, as well as providing follow-up when needed to support community members. Teams are available 4 days a week, Monday – Thursday, 10am-8pm.

Pleasanton Alternative Response for Mental Health
In collaboration with the City of Pleasanton and Pleasanton Police Department, ARMH responds to calls in the city limits for mental health emergencies. This program partners a Behavioral Health Clinician and plain-clothed officers in unmarked vehicles responding to 911 calls for mental health concerns. Community members can also contact ARMH by calling the Pleasanton PD non-emergency dispatch at (925) 931-5100. Teams are available 5 days a week, Monday – Friday, 7am – 8pm.
In collaboration with the City of Berkeley, SCU provides 24/7 mental health response within the city limits. Teams are comprised of a Behavioral Health Clinician, Emergency Medical Technician, and Peer support Specialist. Teams respond to calls from direct line (510) 948-0075. Teams also utilize “on-viewing” to identify members in the community who need assistance and support. SCU began servicing the City of Berkeley in September 2023. Teams are available 7 days a week 6am – 4pm.
